Born and raised in East Oakland, CA, Akintunde Ahmad is an entrepreneur who centers equity in all of his work, including as ESO’s Communication(s) and Marketing Manager. A product of Oakland public schools, he earned a BA from Yale University and an MS from Columbia University. As an entrepreneur, Akintunde is the sole founder of Ade Dehye, an ethically and sustainably made fashion brand that is produced in West Africa. He is also the co-founder of Kinfolx, a coffee and wine bar in Uptown Oakland. Akintunde brings a wealth of marketing and communications knowledge to the ESO team and is ecstatic about the opportunity to bring entrepreneurial resources and guidance to Black and Brown business owners.
