Alberto Torrico

Alberto Torrico joins ESO from the realm of California state government. After nearly ten years in elected office, including six years as State Assembly Member and two as Majority Leader, Alberto Torrico is an attorney and lobbyist in private practice with his office across the street from the State’s Capitol. Foreshadowing California's growing diversity, Alberto was the first person in California's history to be a member of two ethnic legislative caucuses - the Latino Caucus and the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus which he chaired for two years.

Alberto Torrico represents a wide range of clients and interests, including the State Coalition of Probation Organizations "SCOPO," United Food and Commercial Workers Western States' Council, Cannabis Joint Labor Management Committee of San Diego and Imperial Counties, Airlines For America, AT&T, Fox Entertainment, Sunrun, California Applicants' Attorneys Association "CAAA," United Health Care, Kindred and others. He has also provided legal advise regarding electoral matters to various Democratic and Labor organizations regarding voting rights.

Alberto Torrico remains involved with local and statewide politics, serving as a special advisor to the Chicano/Latino Caucus of the California Democratic Party. He also serves as a board member of the Bob Moretti Scholarship Foundation.
