A third generation West Oakland, CA resident, Zakiya is a passionate, versatile community evangelist focused on developing comprehensive and inclusive efforts and programs. With expertise in community development and  public relations, corporate social responsibility, program management, non-traditional educational pathways, curriculum-building,  facilitation, and social impact, Zakiya brings a wealth of knowledge to her role as ESO’s Director of Business Services.  Her past experience includes work at Microsoft, YesWECode, Lyft, and Google. When she is not bringing people together and supporting communities of color, Zakiya is a Yoga and travel enthusiast. She loves any and all things Oakland and looks forward to working with new entrepreneurs.
